Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

Tonight I said goodbye to an old friend. We met when I was 16, and we've been together for ten years. We went to high school together every day in Atlanta. We went to Utah for college together. We even went to California together to meet my wife's family. And now, 100,000 miles later we are saying goodbye. Thats right, I sold my Toyota Camry.

I got her when she was only 6 years old. 50,000 miles under her belt. She had a manual transmission, and a roaring 4 cylinder engine. She was a good car, but now she has a new home up in West Jordan. I'm sure her new owners will treat her well.
So it is with a tear that I say goodbye to my first car.

It is weird how attached we get to our first cars. We still have Kaulana's, and even though he knows he could really use another car soon, it's going to be really hard for him to say goodbye to that old Honda Civic.
