I have every intention of doing this to each and every one of my future children, framing all the pictures, and then putting them up and laughing at them year after year during the holidays :)
At our ward Christmas party two 20 month old girls SCREAMED when it was their turns on Santa's lap. One influenced the other, but it made us all laugh! Not nervous titters, but huge guffaws! Is it the beard-they can't see most of his face that freaks them out? The contrast of white hair and red hat? Stranger anxiety or fear of abandonment? If I were a scientist, I would love to study what factors cause this reaction in little toddlers. Santa made me cry this year, but it was a good cry! (I love your "I'm a Mormon" article! Good job! Trying to write mine.)
